TRA is responsible for the management of every aspect of the telecommunications and information technology industries in the UAE. | Type Approval is a requirement for Radio and Telecommunications Terminal Equipment (RTTE) to comply with specific technical specifications and the equipment must be registered with the TRA before it can be supplied in the UAE. | |

| The .aeDA was established in 2007 by the TRA as a department. It is the Regulatory Body and Registry Operator for the .ae domain name. The .aeDA is responsible for the setting and enforcement of all policies with regard to the operation of the .ae ccTLD as well as overseeing the operation of the Registry System. | |
aeCERT |

| aeCERT is the cyber security coordination center in the UAE. It will be established by the TRA as an initiative to facilitate the detection, prevention and response of cyber security incidents on the Internet. | |
