Networks Policies Development Specialist Apply for this Job

Position Profile in Brief:
  • Study and develop several policies and regulations (i.e. policies, instructions, directives) in order to regulate and control the development of wireless networks and services and to ensure that the country adopts the appropriate network standards for wireless networks and services
  • Handle the implementation and execution part of the new initiatives, projects and programs related to the development of wireless networks and services
  • Study and analyze the current situations of the section’s policies and programs and provide recommendations for enhancement
  • Monitor the performance of the developed policies and programs and generate related reports and statistics
  • Conduct different researches and studies with relation to technical areas of wireless networks and services (such as LTE, 4G, LBS, ..etc);
  • Research and study the technical industry trends and conduct research and draft reports for management containing analysis and statistics in order to contribute to achieving the best practice for wireless networks and services
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Requires a bachelor degree in telecommunication engineering or related discipline
  • Knowledge of Arabic and English languages
  • 3 - 4 years in Telecommunications industry

Database Administrator Apply for this Job
Nationality: UAE Nationals (Must)
Position Profile in Brief: Examples of tasks that may be required to maintain Service Availability include:
  • Diagnose and lead the resolution of Database related issues
  • Perform software releases as required
  • Database Availability (capacity and maintenance)
  • Appropriate backup and recovery facilities are in place and functioning
  • Sufficient redundancy for critical components
  • Appropriate monitoring and early warning systems are in place and functioning
  • Suggestions for improvements are made, and where appropriate, implemented
  • Available to respond to Database issues in ‘on-call’ arrangement

Ensure that the performance of all of the aeDA’s Production Services are maintained at the highest possible level, to meet and exceed the relevant SLAs. An example of tasks that may be required to maintain Service Performance include:

  • Regular Database Maintenance
  • Analysis of critical paths to identify bottle necks
  • Suggestions for improvements are made, and where appropriate, implemented

Appropriate monitoring and early warning systems are in place and functioning, including maintaining historical records Ensure that the security of all of the aeDA Production Services is maintained at the highest possible level. Examples of tasks that may be required to maintain Service Security include:

  • Performing regular security audits
  • Ensuring that all software is kept up to date with the latest patches
  • Suggest, and where appropriate, implement improvements
  • Implement appropriate policies and procedures
  • Appropriate monitoring and early warning systems are in place and functioning

Minimum Experience:

  • 2 years Experience with Oracle in Linux environment
  • 2 years Experience with Oracle High availability technologies.
  •  Demonstrated experience with backup, disaster recovery processes and procedures
Job-Specific Skills:
  • Strong SQL and performance tuning skills
  • PL/SQL knowledge
  • Strong UNIX skills
  • Logical thought process and problem solving skills

Director Investments Apply for this Job
Nationality: UAE Nationals (Must)
Position Profile in Brief:
  • Create Fund investment policies, guidelines and Governance structure
  • Develop, implement, and monitor, in consultation with the Fund’s Board of Trustees and the Investment Committee, policies, programs, standards and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable laws
  • Oversee compliance with the Fund’s eligibility rules in various Projects and Investments being evaluated by the Education, R&D and Incubation-Entrepreneurship departments
  • Perform due diligence and financial and risk analysis of investment opportunities
  • Review Fund total returns, expense payments, expense accruals and budgets
  • Prepare recommendations to Investment Committee including investment structure and terms and conditions. Prepare required documentation for Investment Committee
  • Analyze data from portfolio companies and investments to monitor and evaluate fund performance
  • Identify and promptly address issues related to suitability and risk exposure
  • Coordinate annual Fund audits, including completion of work papers and drafting of annual financial statements in accordance with the applicable rules
  • Review and sign-off on Fund’s financial statements
  • Work with the Venture Capital community to define and implement a Venture Capital Funding strategy for the ICT Fund
  • Responsible for departmental human resources management and developing and implementing training plans
Performance Indicators:
  • Maintaining an acceptable Fund Risk Profile
  • Completeness of Governance and Risk structure
Communications and Working Relationships:
  • Internal: All departments of ICT Fund and CEO office
  • External: Investment Committee, Venture Capital Community, Auditors and Accounting companies and Consultants etc.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Minimum 10 years of direct portfolio management and investment experience
  • MBA or CFA preferred.
  • Background in technology related Fund would be preferred
Skills:

  • Computer skills to include proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word Strong written and oral skills
  • Strong organization and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lead and manage people
  • Fluency in Arabic and English
