The World Quality Day is a significant event for those keen on quality, from professionals, enterprises and organizations in various parts of the world to celebrate what they’ve achieved from accomplishments. It is a drive to work on increasing awareness through developing methods of quality work that contribute to significant changes in business results.

In the year 1990, the United Nations has allocated a day for World Quality in order to increase global awareness on the importance of quality and its contribution in elevating countries and organizations. Developed countries have taken this path dedicating a day, or at times a week, for quality. The second Thursday in every November has been assigned as the World Quality Day, which was on November 11, this year.

The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) took part in the World Quality Day, organizing various activities that highlight TRA’s attentiveness, awareness and commitment towards delivering top-notch quality standards. The authority conveyed its dedication to increase awareness on the importance of quality and its contribution in elevating work and achieving best results that add to the benefits of the nation and its people.

Among the activities organized by TRA, H.E. Mohamed Nasser Al Ghanim, Director General of TRA, honored one of the distinguished Customer Service personnel. Additionally, the Strategy and Performance Management Department structured and organized internal workshop on the methodologies for institutional quality, which is a benchmarking methodology aiming at introducing the staff to the importance of implementing the benchmarking mechanism in all the authority procedures, in addition to applying continuous development and enhancements to internal and external procedures and operations.

On this occasion, H.E. Al Ghanim dedicated “My Vision”, the book written by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, to the TRA senior Management, he also sent them a message: “My Vision " is considered a unique book in which His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum demonstrates some aspects of the developmental experience which has been based on achieving excellence in the UAE, promoting UAE from its role of a regional economic hub, to its additional role as a world economic hub.

Al Ghanim added stating that: “It is a book based on experiencing development, highlighting the main factors that constitute progress and leadership, and commends the team capable of turning the leader’s vision into a reality. His Highness in His book has called upon each and every one of us to take this book as a vital reference a renewed challenge in the race towards excellence.”
