Proceeding from its social responsibility and belief in the importance of achieving a comprehensive positive impact on the UAE society in conformity with national regulations, the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) participates in the annual blood donation campaign, organized by the Abu Dhabi Blood Bank.
In recognition of the valuable efforts and contributions of the TRA to in the success of this campaign and achieving its desired goals and on the occasion of the World Blood Donor Day, the Abu Dhabi Blood Bank awarded the TRA for its active and annual participation in the blood donation campaign. Mrs. Huda Al Mutawa, Director, Corporate Communications Affair, received the award on behalf of the TRA.
To this end, H.E. Mohammed Nasser Al Ghanim, TRA Director General, said: “The role of the TRA is to highlight the importance of social responsibility and its role in achieving social solidarity. Hence, the TRA undertook the responsibility of organizing the blood donation campaign under the sponsorship of Abu Dhabi Blood Bank, given that such a campaign falls within the TRA policy and its social responsibility commitment. In addition, blood donation is a noble act that helps saving lives and develops the sense of sharing in society.”

It’s worth noting that the TRA’s social responsibility programmes and initiatives reflect the Authority’s business processes in producing an overall positive impact on the UAE community. TRA’s CSR programs cover a wide range of themes, from the environment, to encouraging innovation in the ICT sector; supporting long life learning in ICT and sciences; availing the latest technologies to support individuals with special needs; and supporting arts in serving cultural and humanitarian values. The range of initiatives and projects that fall under the CSR program is a reflection of the core values of TRA and its principles of responsible business ethics.
