In regard to the implementation of Bitstream access, the soft launch still under execution by “etisalat” & “du” which began in July 2011 and requires network sharing between the operators, and since both operators are technically “Not Ready”. The full commercial launch has been postponed until the completion of the technical readiness.

Accordingly, the TRA will continue to oversee the development of work process between operators to ensure any system deficiencies before the full commercial launch.
